Rod Harrington is making his last-ever appearance in the commentary box at the New Zealand Masters before retiring 🎙️ Wishing you a happy retirement, Rod! 🍾
Rod Harrington retired as a commentator for the final time this past weekend. 'The Prince of Style' commented for the last time on Saturday during the final of the New Zealand Darts Masters, which was won by Gerwyn Price.
Harrington was first active as a player with the PDC, where he was one of the founders of the World Darts Council (WDC) in 1993. This organisation later became known as the PDC. With this organisation, he achieved his greatest successes at the end of the last century by winning the World Matchplay in 1998 and 1999.
The 64-year-old retired from professional darts in 2007 and later became a commentator for Sky Sports, among others.
In recent years, Harrington has mainly worked behind-the-scenes and has been a staple on commentary for World Series tournaments.
