Noppert moves to career high as Chisnall moves back into top 16 in updated Order of Merit after German Darts Grand Prix

Danny Noppert has reached a new milestone. 'The Freeze' has climbed to seventh in the world rankings, his highest ranking in his career.
Noppert reached the quarter-finals at the German Darts Grand Prix last weekend, passing Jonny Clayton. He is the second Dutchman on the PDC Order of Merit behind Michael van Gerwen (third) and looks set to partner the Green Machine at the World Cup of Darts.

Furthermore, José de Sousa took over the 14th spot from James Wade, while Dave Chisnall passed his compatriot Ross Smith and returns to the top 16.
While other movers include Andrew Gilding and Keane Barry going to 24th and 41st respectively after this past European Tour.

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
