Berry van Peer was eliminated in the last sixteen of the German Darts Grand Prix last weekend.
Van Peer was leading 5-1 against Keane Barry, but lost 6-5 to miss out on a place in the quarterfinals. Van Peer could have become the 17th Dutchman to reach the quarterfinals one or more times at a European Tour tournament.
Michael van Gerwen continues to lead the all-time Dutch list on the European Tour with 61 quarterfinals. Jelle Klaasen follows in second place with 16 quarter-finals, Vincent van der Voort completes the top-3 with 11 times a place in the quarter-finals.

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
