"Not to sound like Lebron James but I don't want to export my talents to Europe" - Alex Spellman doubtful about future PDC career

Alex Spellman has emerged as one of the better players from North America in recent years. However, 'The Jackal' is unsure whether or not to go full steam ahead with a career in the PDC.

Spellman participated in Q-School early this year, although he was ultimately unsuccessful in his quest to win a Tour Card. Still, he has doubts about a future career with the PDC. "Not to sound like Lebron James but I don't want to export my talents to Europe," said the 35-year-old American in conversation with USA Darts.

"10 years ago I don't think we had anyone that could, not just compete, but beat the best in the world," he continued. "I can easily name 16 players now that on their day can. You've got myself, Danny Baggish, Leonard Gates, Danny Lauby Jr, Jules Van Dongen, Jim Long, David Cameron, Stowe Buntz, Jacob Taylor, I could go on."

As a result, Spellman does not know if it is worth moving to Europe. "Why not just start building stuff here? I'm starting to consider that more," he concludes.
