The PDC World Darts Championship will continue under Paddy Power’s banner until at least 2031 after the bookmaker confirmed a significant five-year extension to its title sponsorship.
The renewed agreement keeps one of the sport’s most recognisable partnerships in place through to the end of the decade, maintaining the distinctive branding and large-scale charity campaigns that have become synonymous with the Ally Pally spectacle.
Paddy Power first took over naming rights for the 2023/24 edition and has since used the platform to drive major fundraising efforts, donating more than £2 million to Prostate Cancer UK across the first two tournaments. That contribution has supported the charity’s TRANSFORM trial, a landmark study aimed at advancing early detection and modernising prostate cancer screening.
The bookmaker’s influence has also reshaped the tournament’s big-moment incentives, including the now-famous £180,000 nine-darter bonus shared between the player, a fan inside Alexandra Palace and Prostate Cancer UK, a moment that happened twice last year.

Major new charity initiatives for 2025/26

Alongside the extended deal, Paddy Power has renewed its pledge with ‘The Even Bigger 180’ campaign, targeting 180,000 more men completing Prostate Cancer UK’s online risk checker. Over the past two years, more than 300,000 men have used the tool, with 222,000 discovering they are at higher risk.
This year’s championship will also feature a new fundraising initiative: ‘Darts of Destiny’, where one randomly selected entrant will step onto the Ally Pally stage and throw nine darts for a potential £180,000 jackpot.
The sponsor’s heavy marketing push, spanning retail shops, social media and on-site activations, has played a central role in the championship’s broader growth. The tournament’s Fan Zone, fully branded and increasingly interactive, has become one of the event’s standout additions, while Paddy Power’s viral social content continues to capture the tournament’s atmosphere.

Reaction from the PDC and Paddy Power

PDC Chief Executive Matt Porter welcomed the extended agreement, saying: “Paddy Power has had a hugely positive impact on the World Darts Championship over the past two years."
"Their creativity, investment and passion for the sport have taken the event to new heights, enhancing the experience for fans in the arena and millions watching worldwide. We are delighted to extend this partnership to 2031 and look forward to building on this success while continuing to support Prostate Cancer UK’s essential work.”
Paddy Power reflected on the sport’s flagship tournament and the significance of its charity projects, commenting: “The Paddy Power World Darts Championship is the greatest party in sport and we're proud to extend our sponsorship for another five years. We’ll continue bringing excitement, entertainment and unmistakable Paddy Power mischief to the event, wherever it’s held."
"But above all, we’re proud to support the vital, life-changing work of Prostate Cancer UK. Our Big 180 charity campaigns have become huge, award-winning initiatives and we’re committed to helping create a world where no man dies of prostate cancer.”
The extended title sponsorship covers the next six editions, beginning with this year’s championship, which runs from Thursday 11 December through to the final on Saturday 3 January 2026.
