The second edition of the Hungarian Darts Trophy will take place this year from September 2 to 4 in the Hungarian capital Budapest.
Last season the first edition of this tournament was won by Gerwyn Price. The Welshman was too strong for Michael Smith in the final, 8-2.

As with every European Tour tournament, four players from the home country are set to participate. Janos Vegso has received an automatic invitation to do so because he is the only Hungarian darter with a position in the PDC world rankings.
The remaining three Hungarian spots will be distributed during the Host Nation Qualifier on Saturday, July 10.
