Personal sponsor asks Van Gerwen to become a German darts player: 'Don't be ridiculous'

Michael van Gerwen is of course one of the best players ever to come out of the Netherlands; so while Germany wait for their own World Champion to emerge, the question was asked if he would become a German.
Van Gerwen who is partnered with Dutch company, MachineSeeker had a German company join the group; but this produced this brilliant anecdote.
"Michael, don't you think it is a good idea to become a German?" was the question asked.
"And I replied don't be ridiculous and stay with what you are good at; anything to do with selling used machinery," replied Mighty Mike.
