Jenkins defeated Mark Webster (5-2), Ritchie Edhouse (5-2), David Evans (5-1) in which he denied 'Stretch' who had a 101 average and a 170 checkout in his one winning leg. He then defeated Scott Mitchell in a last leg shootout to confirm it.

His day wasn't perfect though as he went on to lose to Mike Warburton who finished second as a result but still his fate was already sealed.

David Evans led for the early part of the day but lost his last two games as his unbeaten run fell away. Ritchie Edhouse, Scott Mitchell and Mark Webster ended up rounding out the standings.

There will be 15 games a day which will be best of 9 legs with two Pools set to be involved as usual. It begins everyday as a result at 10:30 am running till 5:00 pm and sees live action continue.
