Philippines set to have three players at PDC World Darts Championship for first time

The PDC Asian Championship saw Toru Suzuki, Lourence Ilagan, Paolo Nebrida and Christian Perez qualify this past weekend for the PDC World Darts Championship at the end of the year.

It will be a first for the Philippines though with three players set to be involved for the first time at the Alexandra Palace.

With this, the Philippines are doing better than in 2019 and 2020, when two players were present at the World Darts Championship each time.

For Ilagan, it will be his seventh participation at Alexandra Palace; he has never advanced beyond the first round. Perez has been there before in 2010, 2012 and 2015, but he too lost in the opening round each time. Finally, Nebrida will make his World Championship debut this year.
