Dartsnews is curious about which player you think has been the most improved player in the past year. We selected five names for this
poll.
First of all
Jose de Sousa, who won a Euro Tour tournament and then also the Grand Slam of Darts.
Dimitri van den Bergh had already achieved good results in the past with two Quarter-Finals at the World Championship, but finally managed to win a coveted prize in 2020 with the World Matchplay.
Dirk van Duijvenbode became one of the highlights from last year after a surprising final at the World Grand Prix and Quarter-Finals at the European Championship, Players Championship Finals and the World Championship.
From out of nowhere
Damon Heta won the Brisbane Darts Masters in 2019 and then won his Tour Card at the Q-School in 2020. The Australian had an excellent first season with his first Pro Tour title at the Autumn Series and Quarter-Finals at the Grand Slam of Darts and Players Championship Finals.
Devon Petersen had his real breakthrough last season by rising from 60th place to 29th place on the PDC Order of Merit. The South African did this by reaching the Semi-Finals at the European Championship and winning a Euro Tour tournament.
