The
Czech Darts Open 2025 continues Saturday evening from 7 p.m. with the remaining matches from the second round of the Euro Tour tournament in the Czech capital Prague. The top players may then make their appearance at the PVA Expo.
It is now the fifth edition of this event. The
Czech Darts Open was on the program for the first time in 2019 and, with Jamie Hughes, it had a surprising winner at the time. In 2022, the tournament returned to the Euro Tour calendar, and then it was
Luke Humphries who got to lift the cup. In 2023, Wright ran away with the title, before Humphries won the tournament again in 2024.
Follow the Czech Darts Open 2025 via our live scores! It promises to be a great night in Prague, as a lot of top players will appear on stage during the evening session of the second round. Among others, the complete top five of the world will be in action.
We begin the evening with an encounter between Rob Cross and Krzysztof Ratajski. The latter was responsible for the elimination of Raymond van Barneveld in the first round. An important victory for the Pole, because he is now in the virtual top-32 of the Euro Tour Order of Merit at Barney's expense. Cross is in a disappointing 41st place on that same ranking and still has a lot of work to do to reach the European Championship.

Price, Bunting and Aspinall-Wade top ties
Gerwyn Price is one of the next two names we will see. 'The Iceman', winner of the Baltic Sea Darts Open in Kiel in July, makes his comeback after a hand injury prevented him from competing in the past Pro Tours and the Flanders Darts Trophy. He will face Niko Springer, who was too strong for Joe Cullen in a 6-5 thriller on Friday night.
Stephen Bunting follows aiming to continue his fabulous form. He face Kevin Doets. Known as 'Hawk Eye', he won handsomely 6-4 from Daryl Gurney in the first round after winning three legs in a row from a 3-4 deficit. It earned him a meeting with Stephen Bunting, the current world number four. The Bullet won the International Darts Open in Riesa earlier this year, but otherwise the Englishman's performances on the Euro Tour have been rather poor, with only two quarter-finals and no fewer than four defeats in his opening match.
The cracker of the evening - at least on paper - is the meeting between former major winners James Wade and Nathan Aspinall. Wade is having an excellent summer so far with a final at the World Matchplay, two semifinals on the Euro Tour and winning Players Championship 19. Meanwhile, 'The Machine' is firmly in fifth place on the PDC Order of Merit and may cautiously dream of a return to the Premier League. Aspinall, on the other hand, has dropped significantly in the world rankings after failing to defend his prize money won at the World Matchplay two years ago when he took the title. 'The Asp' dropped to 23rd place, then took a good month off. Nevertheless, he managed to win easily 6-0 over Jiri Brejcha in the first round.

Humphries, Van Gerwen and Littler headline
In the fifth match of the evening, it is Luke Humphries' turn. The world number one will take on Dirk van Duijvenbode. Aubergenius' already has one match behind him in Prague. Van Duijvenbode defeated the Dutch Norwegian Cor Dekker (6-4) in the first round. His opponent Humphries, also the defending champion, will be in action for the first time this tournament. It is his comeback for 'Cool Hand Luke' after he took almost three weeks off after the World Series doubleheader in Down Under. Humphries will spend the next few weeks trying to drag himself into shape heading into the busy fall season, in which he has a slew of television titles to defend.
Luke Littler is assigned to the sixth match of this session. The reigning world champion, by far the man of the summer with titles at the World Matchplay, the World Series tournaments in Australia and New Zealand and the Flanders Darts Trophy, will cross swords with Cameron Menzies. The Scot showed Friday that he is in good shape as he won convincingly 6-3 against Ian White in the first round thanks to an average of 87.19.
Next we have a wonderful showdown between
Michael van Gerwen and Mike de Decker, respectively the highest ranked Dutchman and Belgian in the world rankings. Van Gerwen won the German Darts Grand Prix earlier this year and is therefore already sure of participation in the European Championship, but other than that his results on the Euro Tour are not great. Last week at the Flanders Darts Trophy he lost in his first match for the third time in five tournaments. De Decker reached the final of the Belgian Darts Open in March, but that was the only time 'The Real Deal' managed to reach at least the quarterfinals of a Euro Tour this season.
The winner of the match between Van Gerwen and De Decker can watch for a while to see who his next opponent will be at the Czech Darts Open, as it comes from the final match between Josh Rock and William O'Connor. Rock was close to his second Euro Tour title last week, but had to concede in a terrific final against an unleashed Luke Littler (8-7). The Northern Irishman begins this tournament with a match against William O'Connor, who was victorious over Luke Woodhouse (6-5) in the first round. O'Connor still has a chance to participate in majors such as the World Grand Prix and European Championship in the fall, but will need to get another good result somewhere in order to permanently play his way into the competition field.
Saturday night's eight winners will join the eight players who won their match on Saturday afternoon on Sunday. The eighth finals will be played on Sunday afternoon, before the denouement on Sunday night with the quarter-finals, semifinals and finals, respectively.
Can Michael van Gerwen finally get another good result on the Euro Tour?
