Sunday night, eight matches are once again scheduled at the
Grand Slam of Darts 2025. During this session, it is the turn of the players in Groups A, C, E and G to play their second group matches.
The schedule is arranged so that the winners of the matches on Saturday, face each other a day later in their second match. So, of course, that also means that the losers of each group will meet.

Nathan Aspinall v Alex Spellman (A)
After the 5-3 defeat against
Michael Smith, Nathan Aspinall cannot afford another slip-up. The match against Alex Spellman must be won. The American was beaten 5-0 in his first match against
Luke Humphries, which also dealt a blow to his leg balance. Depending on the duel between Luke Humphries and Michael Smith, the final curtain could already fall for one of these players. For Aspinall, it would be the first time since 2019 if he fails to make it through the group stage.
Daryl Gurney v Karel Sedlacek (E)
Daryl Gurney suffered a costly 5-4 defeat against Connor Scutt in his opening match and thus knows that his match against Karel Sedlacek must be won. The same goes for Sedlacek, of course, but the Czech lost 5-1 to top favorite
Luke Littler in his opening match. It will be the third meeting between Gurney and Sedlacek in 2025, and the previous two confrontations were both won comfortably (6-0 and 6-1) by "Evil Charlie.
Stephen Bunting v Martin Schindler (C)
The two favorites in Group C both started the group stage with a defeat. Stephen Bunting let himself be fooled by orthodox Asian Alexis Toylo, who prevailed 5-4 against "The Bullet. Martin Schindler went down 5-2 against Luke Woodhouse. This match is therefore a must win for both players, as Schindler did not manage to get through the group stage in any of his five previous Grand Slam appearances. Bunting is doing a bit more successfully, as he made it to the knockout stage in five of his six appearances.
Gary Anderson v Beau Greaves (G)
Much was expected of
Beau Greaves at this Grand Slam of Darts. Some had even tipped her as the group winner and the 21-year-old English seemed to be on her way to victory against Michael van Gerwen, but she missed two matchdarts to take the points. Nevertheless, Greaves did show well with an average of 101.47. Gary Anderson had a false start to his tournament by losing 5-3 to Niko Springer, meaning Anderson must win if he is not to soon have to put a cross through his title chances in Wolverhampton.
Gary Anderson can no longer afford a misstep against Beau Greaves
Luke Littler v Connor Scutt (E)
Defending champion Luke Littler got off to an excellent start Saturday night in his hunt for title-prolongation at this tournament. 'The Nuke' left Karel Sedlacek defenseless 5-1, putting his first points back in. In his second match, Littler will face Connor Scutt, who scored an important 5-4 victory over Daryl Gurney.
Luke Humphries v Michael Smith (A)
One of the top matches of this evening is the clash between Luke Humphries and Michael Smith, the world champions of 2024 and 2023 respectively. They are also the last two players on the first spot of the world rankings. Humphries is still there, while Smith has now slipped to 30th place. In fact, for Smith, his performance against Nathan Aspinall (5-3 win) was his first major appearance since the UK Open in March. So that's how long we had seen 'Bullyboy,' who has been struggling with arthritis for quite some time, at a television tournament. The darter from St. Helens certainly did not play a good match against Aspinall, but the win will no doubt give him confidence that he is back on track. Humphries started his tournament with an easy 5-0 win over Spellman.
Michael van Gerwen v Niko Springer (G)
Michael van Gerwen escaped a loss against Beau Greaves (5-4) on Saturday, and thus still picked up two important points in this exciting group. With a victory over Niko Springer, Van Gerwen can take a big step towards reaching the knockout stage. That will not be an easy task against the new darts sensation, who already won a Euro Tour tournament earlier this season and made his debut at this event with a 5-3 victory over Gary Anderson. This year the Dutchman and the German already met twice. On March 17, Springer won the first clash 6-3, while Van Gerwen took revenge with a 6-5 victory over 'Meenzer Bub' a week later.
Luke Woodhouse v Alexis Toylo (C)
Dessert of the evening came courtesy of Luke Woodhouse and Alexis Toylo. Woodhouse snatched two points from Martin Schindler by beating the German 5-2, while Toylo surprisingly triumphed 5-4 against Stephen Bunting. The darter from the Philippines can become the first Asian player to reach the knockout stage at the Grand Slam of Darts. A win over Woodhouse brings Toylo a lot closer to this milestone.
Can Michael van Gerwen win his second group match as well?
