Gerwyn Price is through to a clash with Peter Wright on Friday at the
European Championship after easing past Kim Huybrechts in a 6-1 win.
For Price, he averaged 104 in the end as he looks to add another TV title to his resume after victory at the World Grand Prix and World Series of Darts Finals.
He spoke afterwards and was pleased with his game especially from his own admission with not the best Huybrechts coming back at him.
"I definitely felt good up there today. I felt my scoring game was ok but my check outs were probably on point today, I think I only missed one double at double 12. I knew I was playing well and putting Kim (Huybrechts) under pressure, he didn't play his best game but I can only control what I do," said Price post match.
"I know I need to turn up and play. You're never unbeatable if you don't play your A-game, if you don't play at your best then you're going to fall."
On Van Gerwen still being the betting favourite despite not being at his top form, Price said that it's not a surprise but joked that they are probably more 'scared' of him than most players at the minute: "Obviously everyone knows what Michael can do when he's on his game and I think the bookies are probably more scared of him than we are at the moment."
