Price dethrones defending champion Van den Bergh to reach semi-finals at Nordic Darts Masters

The first semi-finalist is set at the Nordic Darts Masters with Gerwyn Price ending the defence of reigning champion Dimitri van den Bergh in a 10-7 win in the opening Quarter-Final in Copenhagen.

Price produced a 100.8 average and seven 180's in moving through as he aims for back-to-back finals on the World Series with a first title of the year on his radar.

Price for most of the tie always had a good lead going 3-2 up at the first interval with a 70 checkout before returning to break with a 94 on the bull for 5-3.

Van den Bergh reduced the deficit to 6-4 at the next break before hitting 127 and game to stay on his coattails. But Price aimed to add the hammer blow. He hit a 94 checkout to break and go one away at 9-5.

But missed match darts allowed Van den Bergh to stay in it until the very end in which the Belgian couldn't take advantage and Price sealed it.
