Price obliterates Van Gerwen in stunning Premier League Darts Night Eight final win with 115 average, seals back-to-back night wins

Gerwyn Price has sealed a third nightly win in this year's Premier League Darts in stunning fashion after obliterating Michael van Gerwen in a 6-1 win on Night Eight in Newcastle.

Price goes back-to-back with glory in Nottingham and produced an average of 115 in seeing off his rival in a match where he wired a match dart to even seal it in a whitewash. MVG still leaves Tyneside as top of the Premier League but with Price making a statement.

He opened up a 2-0 lead initially with Van Gerwen missing vital darts at doubles and extended that with a hold in the form of an 82 checkout to go 3-0 up.

He went one away from there in a 5-0 deficit and was one away from a second 6-0 loss in as many weeks with Dobey handing MVG his first ever in Nottingham.

But he averted that with Price missing 116 on double 20 and Van Gerwen saved his skin but it solely prolonged the tie for one more leg with Price taking it again on double 20 with a 10-darter. Incredible from 'The Iceman'.
