Gerwyn Price has apologised for his choice words following his defeat against Glen Durrant in the Premier League on Friday night.
Price went onto Facebook following the fiery encounter and wrote a scathing post about the Premier League leader especially to do with Durrant's celebration after claiming at least a point.
“Thought he was a mate but I guess I should learn there’s no mates. Like an elephant on stage then give it large when you get to 7. Worst I’ve played for a while and I get to 4, well done what a superstar old man.”
Durrant himself spoke last night in the post match press conference on Zoom and said that if he'd upset him, he'd apologise: "I totally enjoyed playing him, you’re in the heat of battle with him. If I have roared and I’ve upset him, I’ll apologise."
Now after Price's post, he has publicly apologised for his remarks and admitted he has to stay off socials after games.
"Want to publicly apologise to Glen Durrant, the better man won I need to stay off socials for an hour after games. Playing day after day against the best 9 players in the world is high intensity and sometimes it gets too much. Onto tonight and a fresh start.
