𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗕𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗦 𝗟𝗘𝗪𝗜𝗦 Gerwyn Price is into the semi-finals of the Ladbrokes Masters for the very first time as he comes through a hard-fought 10-6 victory over Adrian Lewis! 📺 Up next 👉 Peter Wright v Dave Chisnall
Gerwyn Price will face Mervyn King in the semi-finals of The Masters in a mouth watering clash after defeating Adrian Lewis in a 10-6 victory.
Price is through to this stage for the first time and will look to do like Peter Wright last year and follow up his World Championship triumph with victory in Milton Keynes.
This comes after a 105.6 average and eight 180's in seeing off a resurgent Adrian Lewis who has shown some of his form of old this weekend.
Price took out 80 to break throw to begin his tie with Lewis as he began proceedings at his brilliant best.
Lewis threatened that with a 90 checkout on the bull after three missed darts from Price to reduce the deficit to 3-1.
But Price returned to take out 71 to regain a three leg cushion at 4-1 as the interval saw him in control.
This continued when they returned as Price powered clear with a 10-dart leg to go 6-1 up.
But Lewis wasn't giving up and at the second break, he was sat at 7-3 behind with a brilliant 114 finish despite a lot of work still being needed to mount a comeback.
This was potentially set with Price missing six darts at doubles and Lewis broke on double 20 to make it 8-5.
A second bullseye finish for Jackpot from 80 saw him trail 8-6 and ask the question further but this was answered by Price who hit a seventh 180 and double 20 for an 11-darter to make it 9-6.
A 180 left double 20 for Price at a timely point on Lewis's throw and there was no messing as he pinned it to move through to the semi-finals.
