Peter Wright is through to the Quarter-Finals of the 2023

It is a fourth Quarter-Final in the double in, double out format with three 180's, a high checkout of 167 with three ton plus checkouts. He came from a set down in order to defeat 'Heavy Metal', with the crowd getting on the back of the Scot but he found a way through.
Leading initially, Searle then hit back with a 115 checkout to go 2-1 up before sewing it up with a 62 checkout for the opening set.
Wright though hit back superbly smashing in an incredible 167 checkout to tie it up at 1-1. He opened up the third set in blockbuster fashion too with a 158 checkout.
Searle missed 106 to go 2-1 up in legs and Wright responded with a 121 checkout to go one away from 2-1 in sets. Searle hit back with an 83 checkout for 2-2.
Searle missed three chances for the set. But Wright did next time and Searle missed three more at double five. Wright then hit double 10 for the set. Searle couldn’t get a shot at 102 and Wright broke for 1-0.
Wright went one leg away from the Quarter-Finals from there and hit a 50 checkout for the victory on double 20.
