Provisional field confirmed for 2024 Belgian Darts Open led by top seeds Chisnall, Humphries and Price

The first 32 participants for the 2024 Belgian Darts Open have been announced by the PDC. The Euro Tour tournament in the Belgian Wieze from March 8 to 10 is the first event under the new qualification rules.

First, the top 16 in the world rankings will receive an invitation. This is followed by the next sixteen highest ranked players on the Pro Tour rankings. However, the top-16 of the Pro Tour Order of Merit get protected status in the draw. They may enter the tournament from the second round.

Dave Chisnall will head the seeds at the Belgian Darts Open. In addition, Luke Humphries, Gerwyn Price, Damon Heta, Dirk van Duijvenbode, Josh Rock, Rob Cross, Michael van Gerwen, Jonny Clayton, Danny Noppert, Michael Smith, Ross Smith, Krzysztof Ratajski, Gary Anderson, Ryan Searle and Ricardo Pietreczko have also secured seeded status for the first Euro Tour tournament of the season.

Nathan Aspinall, Peter Wright, Joe Cullen, Dimitri van den Bergh, Chris Dobey, Stephen Bunting, Martin Schindler, Andrew Gilding, Daryl Gurney, James Wade, Gian van Veen, Ryan Joyce, Gabriel Clemens, Jose de Sousa, Brendan Dolan and Raymond van Barneveld are also qualified for the Belgian Darts Open, but will have to start the tournament from the first round.

Sixteen starting spots are still available for the main tournament. Ten of those will be distributed during a qualifying tournament for Tour Card holders on Wednesday, Feb. 14. There is also another Host Nation Qualifier where four starting spots are up for grabs and, in addition, there is another Eastern European qualifying tournament and a Nordic & Baltic Qualifier.
