This year's
Grand Slam of Darts has 32 participants, with 22 names now confirmed. Two more places will be filled via Players Championship winners emerging from the final stage of the PDC ProTour season, which ends Oct. 30.
Currently, Chris Dobey and Damon Heta appear to occupy those spots, as they both captured Players Championship titles twice in 2025. Still, the battle for qualification remains exciting, as several players can still make their move this week in Wigan during the final Pro Tour dual.
The remaining eight spots for Wolverhampton will be distributed at the Tour Card Holder Qualifier on Oct. 31, which will determine the final list of participants. Luke Littler, Luke Humphries lead the way so far as the TV finalists. Gian van Veen despite winning the European Championship gets his spot through the World Youth.
While
Stefan Bellmont will be gearing up for his debut at the Grand Slam of Darts after securing overall victory on the 2025 PDC Challenge Tour last weekend.
The Swiss concluded an impressive season with his third tournament victory of the year at Event 23 in Wigan, passing Darius Labanauskas on the leaderboard and crowning himself number one in the Challenge Tour standings.
With his achievement, Bellmont is making history: never before has a Swiss player qualified for a major PDC televised tournament via the Challenge Tour. Thanks to his final ranking victory, he not only receives a Tour Card for the 2026-2027 seasons, but also an invitation to the Grand Slam of Darts, which will be played at the WV Active Aldersley in Wolverhampton from November 8 to 16.
During the final weekend of the Challenge Tour - featuring four tournaments on Oct. 25 and 26 in Wigan - Bellmont once again showed his class. Averaging nearly 99 points per leg, he defeated Daniel Ayres 5-3 in the final of Event 23, good for his third title of the season.
Earlier this year, the Swiss already managed to win two Challenge Tour tournaments, and thanks to his consistent performance, he ended up staying ahead of the competition - including Labanauskas and former junior world champion Ted Evetts.
