Luke Littler has claimed victory on Night 13 of the 2024
Premier League Darts in Liverpool after a 6-2 victory over
Rob Cross in the final.
With Littler having seen off Gerwyn Price (6-3) and Nathan Aspinall (6-5) en route to the weekly final, and Rob Cross defeating both Michael Smith (6-4) and Michael van Gerwen (6-2), an intriguing showdown was set.
Immediately laying down a marker, Littler took the opening leg with brilliant 111 checkout. A clinical 86 in the second leg doubled his lead before a 13-dart break of throw then saw the teenager race into a three leg advantage.
Another ruthless combination checkout, this time 68, then saw Littler move four clear. With his average well over 100, Littler continued to romp towards victory, going 5-0 on double 10 before Cross finally got himself on the board in leg 6. With a hold of throw in leg 7, Cross had another leg back but a magnificent comeback was not to be as Littler secured a 6-2 victory in the very next leg.
With this nightly win, Littler returns to the top of the league table and is now all but officially confirmed to qualify for the playoffs on what has been an incredible debut campaign.
