Brody Klinge and Raymond Smith dominated the opening weekend of the Australian Darts Association Tour. In Mandurah, it was Smith who stole the show with a perfect leg.
The 2026 ADA Tour season began on 21/2/2026 and 22/2/2026 with the first four tournaments in Western Australia. Klinge and Smith claimed two titles each, immediately setting the tone for the rest of the year.

Klinge untouchable on Saturday

Brody Klinge bulldozed his way through a 124-player field on Saturday to win the opening event. In the final, he dismantled two-time World Championship qualifier James Bailey 6-0.
The 33-year-old Australian opened his campaign with three straight 6-3 wins. He then cranked up the pace with two emphatic 6-1 victories over Michael Bajowski and Darcy Crane, before taking apart Bailey in the title match.
The Melbourne thrower struck again later that day in Event 2. In the final of the second tournament, he defeated former Tour Card holder Darren Penhall 6-3.
Earlier in the day, Klinge had already impressed with a strong semi-final against ANZ Premier League runner-up Raymond Smith. Averaging 99.97, he swept past Smith 6-1. On his way to the title he also took out Tom Wiley, David Cairns, Ben Justice, and Seamus Lynch. Against Lynch, he overturned a 3-0 deficit in the quarter-finals by reeling off six legs on the spin.

Smith hits back with a perfect leg

On Sunday, however, it was Raymond Smith’s turn to take center stage. The 46-year-old Australian hit a sensational nine-darter in his semi-final against Klinge and powered to the title in the third event.
Smith produced his perfect leg in the fourth leg of the match against Klinge. Averaging 103.66, he abruptly ended his compatriot’s winning streak with a 6-0 rout.
In the final, Smith opened his 2026 account with a convincing 6-2 win over Anthony Shreeve. He had already dispatched World Championship participant Tim Pusey in the quarter-finals. Across the tournament, he dropped just eight legs.
Smith carried his strong form into Event 4. In a deciding leg, he beat Michael Bajowski to secure his second title of the weekend.
The Brisbane thrower began his Sunday with three commanding wins without dropping a single set against Ian Boyes, Basil Thorne, and Karl Schaefer. He then edged two tight matches in last-leg deciders against Jamie Rundle and Howard Jones.
"I'm feeling very good. It's been a very interesting weekend," reflected Smith.
"I got a nine-darter at the Australian Championship two years ago but this was a big one and I'm happy to be part of history.
"It's been a while since I've played tournaments where I'm getting pushed, getting the challenge, so I just want to chase the ADA around and keep playing this level.
"It's given us the impetus and opportunity now to go back and find that extra level."
