Madars Razma took down Prakash Jiwa in a 3-1 sets win to begin his PDC
World Darts Championship campaign with the Latvian who continues to rise looking to continue that with his best run at the biggest stage of them all.
Razma will face Gary Anderson again like in 2021 but says given his recent experience, he is here to win instead of making up the numbers.
"We played two years ago, we played the first time against each other, we played a ProTour and I beat him as well. We are better friends and I hope he feels the same," he said post match.
"I have more experience this year. World Grand Prix, European Tours, I don't want to say any predictions but I will fight and I have a chance to win.
"He's two-time World Champion but this year I'm not here to enjoy the game against Gary, I'm here to beat him. I played the first time against him, he's one of my favourite players but this year I want to beat him."
