Luke Woodhouse had an interesting tie in his opener with Ukrainian trailblazer Vladyslav Omelchenko putting up a valiant effort at times but it was 'Woody' who won through to force a clash with current World No.1, Gerwyn Price.
Woodhouse spoke afterwards and is ready if he produces his A-game to cause the upset against 'The Iceman'.
"Players know that I'm more than capable of my top game is really good but it's just if I drop off a little bit, my B or C game is just not good enough to win games but if I can play my A-Game a lot of players have something to think about," he said post match.
"To play Gezzy on the World stage, obviously he was World Champion two years ago, that's what it's all about but I have to play better than that. I'll have to put another ten points on my average to push him. So if I can do that, you never know. The whole thing was win that game and have a shot at Gezzy."
