Results Players Championship 5, Last 64: Van Gerwen whitewashes Hamilton, Ratajski and Durrant also impress

The second round is complete at Players Championship 5 with a few players setting the pace for the rest of the field in Wigan.

Among them is Michael van Gerwen who eased past Andy Hamilton in a brilliant 6-0 win. A match that many would have looked forward to before hand, it saw MVG average 101 and Hamilton 75 as he eased through.

Krzysztof Ratajski is a player who is arguably up there for being one of the best on the Players Championship series so far and he continues to prove that today. He averaged 100 in smashing Vincent van der Meer 6-0.

Glen Durrant and Mark McGeeney faced off in a repeat of their Lakeside final and it was 'Duzza' who took the honours again but 6-1 with a 102 average.

Steve Lennon, Luke Humphries and Damon Heta also hit the heights with averages over the 103 mark. Speaking of averages, there was also the brilliance of Peter Wright who set himself up as potentially the player to beat with a 120 average against Adrian Gray.
