Ross Smith has finished 2025 as the undisputed king of the maximums, topping the PDC Pro Tour’s 180 standings with a staggering 481 scores of perfection across the season.
The former European Champion, who claimed two Players Championship titles along the way, maintained his reputation as one of the sport’s most explosive scorers, firing in 370 180s on the Players Championship circuit and another 111 on the European Tour.

Dutch firepower lights up the Pro Tour

Hot on Smith’s heels are three Dutchmen who’ve all made serious statements this season. Dirk van Duijvenbode and Wessel Nijman share second place on 476, each reminding the tour just how relentless the Netherlands’ next wave of talent has become.
Van Duijvenbode, the ever-colourful “Aubergenius”, endured a trophyless campaign but still made one Players Championship final and threw 355 maximums in those events, plus another 121 on the Euro Tour. After a disrupted 2024 due to injury, the 33-year-old looks back to his ferocious best and ready to challenge for silverware again.
Nijman, meanwhile, capped off his breakout season with two Players Championship titles, including the year’s final event in Wigan. His 476 180s were split between 370 on the Pro Tour floor and 106 on the European stage – a return that reflects both consistency and confidence from one of darts’ most improved young players.
Then there’s Gian van Veen, who completes an all-Dutch top four. The 23-year-old, fresh from winning the European Championship in a pulsating 11–10 final over Luke Humphries, finished with 431 180s – 317 in Players Championships and 114 in Euro Tour events. His numbers underline why many see him as the next long-term Dutch standard-bearer.

Contenders keep pace

Behind the orange wave, Northern Ireland’s Josh Rock came in fifth with 409 maximums, continuing his evolution into one of the sport’s most dangerous scorers. Former Masters champion Stephen Bunting wasn’t far behind on 404, part of a year that saw him finish top of the Pro Tour averages.
Scotland’s Cameron Menzies (373) and England’s Chris Dobey (363) both secured top-10 spots, ahead of Jermaine Wattimena, Martin Schindler, and Mike De Decker, who all featured prominently inside the top dozen.
Rounding out the top 15 were Danny Noppert (336), Jonny Clayton (331), Gerwyn Price (325), Dave Chisnall (316), and William O’Connor (310) – each maintaining solid output across both tours despite congested schedules and the relentless standard of opposition.

Consistency rewarded

The overall figures offer a snapshot of just how high the level has been throughout 2025. In total, 14 players surpassed the 300 mark for 180s, while Luke Littler managed 262 maximums despite playing a reduced schedule – the highest per-leg ratio of anyone in the top 25 at 0.433.
With more big-stage events to come and the 2026 Pro Tour already looming, the race to be darts’ next power-scoring king looks as fierce as ever. But for now, Ross Smith stands proudly on top of the pile – proof that when it comes to finding treble 20, nobody in world darts has been more reliable this year.
