The eighth European Tour title of the season will be decided and despite multiple winners still being left in the field, a new one for 2022 will be crowned tonight in a set of events dominated by Luke Humphries and Michael van Gerwen mainly.
Boris Krcmar will look to back up a superb weekend by ending the hopes of one of only two Dutch players left in the field as 'The Biggest' will aim to leave tonight a PDC champion. He faces UK Open champion, Danny Noppert - likely one of the favourites to scoop his first title up.
While Simon Whitlock will hope the stars align for him. 'The Wizard' conjured up a magical display including three bullseyes for a 150 checkout to see off Daniel Larsson and will not face Van Gerwen but in fact Callan Rydz who of course is a multiple PDC ranking winner but will want to add a European Tour title to back up his promise.
But it is the Netherlands where Whitlock sealed his first and only European Tour title in the form of the Dutch Darts Masters so will that be an omen tonight.
Dirk van Duijvenbode will aim to carry home hopes with the potential of course of an all-Dutch final if Danny Noppert also comes through. He faces one of the most in-form players though this season on the PDC Tour, Andrew Gilding who will aim to halt 'The Titan' after seeing off Ryan Searle earlier.
Finally likely the favourite for the title continues his campaign as Michael Smith who won back-to-back Pro Tour titles and a Premier League night also in 2022 in the past week in fact averaged 111 in halting Damon Heta.
A first European Tour since Gibraltar in 2017 could await but he has to get past Mervyn King first. Who seals the the title this evening?
