The first round of the
European Darts Grand Prix continues to motor on this Friday night with a number of big names set to enter the fray, including
Luke Littler,
Peter Wright and
Stephen Bunting.
The first big name to take the stage though, is James Wade. The eleven-time major winner will take on Ritchie Edhouse in his first round, who surprisingly made it to the last eight last week with wins over Michael Smith and Rob Cross.
Edhouse eventually went down against Stephen Bunting, who will be in action Friday night in the second match. 'The Bullet' will battle Romeo Grbavac, before Raymond van Barneveld takes on German qualifier Franz Roetzsch. Van Barneveld will go up against Roetzsch in the hunt for his first win on the Euro Tour this year.
The fourth match of the evening is an all-English tie between Chris Dobey and Ian White. Then Luke Littler will make his appearance against Arno Merk. Gian van Veen will face Martin Schindler, who won the International Darts Open last week.
Two-time world champion Peter Wright will next take on Mickey Mansell. The final match of the evening session is between the two German players Gabriel Clemens and Rene Eidams.
