The action continues on Saturday afternoon in Salzburg at 2021 European Championship Darts with a double session day set to take place in Austria.
Going into the second round, there are two stand out names in Michael van Gerwen and Gerwyn Price still remaining but both will play in the evening session.
The afternoon sees the likes of Jose de Sousa, Rob Cross and Ryan Searle feature as they look to make Sunday's Quarter-Finals.
Starting proceedings off though will be the Scottish rising star, William Borland who is set to take on Joe Cullen who will be aiming to rise again in terms of his form.
Breezing past Ted Evetts, 'The Rockstar' was averaging in the 100+ range until some match darts were spurned which brought it down but he still produced some real quality.
As did Borland in dumping out Simon Whitlock with some brilliant big finishes on display which he will be hoping for against Cullen this afternoon.
Following that is Cross who faces one of the toughest ties of the second round in Brendan Dolan. As he discussed in his post match interview, 'The History Maker' has been in superb form all year on the ProTour but is lacking on the stage but will hope this weekend is the turning point.
He faces 'Voltage' who has found his spark again at times as of late but is still battling the pressure of the rankings and defending his winnings from two years ago. Can he overcome that or will it be Dolan who surges through?
From one of the toughest ties to another as Jose de Sousa takes on Luke Humphries in a game which if it catches light could be incredible.
Both are two of the best scorers in the game but both will be searching for that little bit extra after edging through opening ties against Lewy Williams and Callan Rydz.
While to end the session, it is two of the most in form players in darts over the past few months in Ryan Searle and Danny Noppert who have been building to this point on the TV after great form on the floor.
A trio of top ties in particular to conclude the session and for Searle and Noppert, it is probably the hardest to call.
