This weekend the Dutch Darts Masters, the second tournament of the World Series of Darts 2025, will take place in the Maaspoort in Den Bosch. It is the third edition of the tournament with Michael van Gerwen as the defending champion.
The evening is kicked off by Stephen Bunting and Raymond van Barneveld. Bunting is trying to make it two in a row in the World Series of Darts this weekend, after already being the best at the Bahrain Darts Masters last week. 'The Bullet' has been in excellent form in recent months, but in his opening match in Den Bosch, he was far from underwhelming with Gian van Veen. In a high-class match, he eventually prevailed 6-5.
Raymond van Barneveld, however, will want to put a stop to that. The 57-year-old Dutchman provided a small stunt in the first round by beating Chris Dobey 6-5. Barney did so with a magnificent 144-finish. We'll have to wait and see if he can pull another stunt against Bunting. The support of the home crowd will not be a problem, they were behind Barney again Friday night.

Afterwards, it's all hands on deck for the absolute standout of the quarterfinals between Luke Littler and Michael van Gerwen. In what will be a replay of the past World Championship final, the Dutchman will be itching for revenge. Van Gerwen had no trouble with Dirk van Duijvenbode in his first round on Friday night, while Littler beat Dimitri Van den Bergh 6-4. If both men can show their best it will be a match to savour.
Gerwyn Price faces off against Kevin Doets following that with 'Hawkeye' continuing on from the World Darts Championship where he sent Michael Smith home. He defeated Nathan Aspinall 6-1 in his first match at the Dutch Darts Masters. While Price was too strong for Danny Noppert in his opening match, 6-2.
As the final quarterfinal, the duel between Jermaine Wattimena and Rob Cross is on the menu. Wattimena, who has been in excellent form lately and even reached the final at last year's European Championship, defeated reigning world champion Luke Humphries 6-3 in his opening match in Den Bosch. 'The Machine Gun meets Cross with an opportunity due to 'Voltage's poor form as of late. Although he showed signs of improvement in his first round by winning 6-3 against Richard Veenstra.
Following the quarter-finals, the semi-finals and final will also be played on Saturday night after that to designate a winner at the Dutch Darts Masters 2025. Will it be Stephen Bunting who grabs a second World Series title in a row or will we get a Dutch final winner? The decision will be made around eleven o'clock in the evening.
As usual, the Dutch Darts Masters will be broadcast on ITV4. All matches during both sessions can be seen via this channel.
It begins on Friday at 6 p.m. with the first round and on Saturday the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals follow in one session to crown the champion, also starting at 6 p.m.
Prize money remains the same as in previous editions of the World Series of Darts with £20,000 for the winner. The runner-up will receive £10,000. While the semifinalists win £5,000. The quarter-finalists receive £2,500 while losing in the first round earns £1,250.
As always, these events are not ranked and thus do not count toward the PDC rankings.
