After an exciting afternoon session, it's time for the final session at the 2025 International Darts Open in Riesa on Sunday night. Who will take the title at the third Euro Tour tournament of the season?
Eight players prepare for the final session tonight, in which the quarter-finals, semi-finals and grand final will be played. Defending champion Martin Schindler still has a chance to prolong his title, but there are more hijackers on the coast.

Luke Humphries v Wessel Nijman
Luke Humphries is having a strong tournament. The world champion is showing his best form in Riesa with an average of 104.36 in his convincing win over Ross Smith. 'Cool Hand Luke' is looking to finally grab his first Euro Tour title of the year after a rough start to the season. Facing him is Dutch talent Wessel Nijman. The young Dutchman has beaten the likes of Chris Dobey and Damon Heta and is in the last eight on the Euro Tour for the second time in his career. Against Humphries, Nijman will have the chance to reach the last four for the first time.
Luke Humphries may feel devoid of wanting to be on stage right now but could still win the title.

Stephen Bunting v Karel Sedlacek
Stephen Bunting extended his strong form from last Thursday to the Euro Tour. Before traveling to Riesa, he took the weekly title during the Premier League Darts' visit to Berlin. With wins over Darius Labanauskas (6-4) and Cameron Menzies (6-4), Bunting advanced to the quarterfinals at the International Darts Open. In both matches, he threw an average of around 105. Karel Sedlacek turned out to be a real thorn in the side for the Dutch this tournament. He successively defeated Jermaine Wattimena (6-4), Danny Noppert (6-4) and Raymond van Barneveld (6-5). The Czech ace reached the quarterfinals twice before on the Euro Tour, but never reached the semifinals. It's up to Bunting to keep it that way.
A Bunting fresh off his Premier League win in real form and in what will be a popular player to be back in form after his recent travails.
Josh Rock v Nathan Aspinall
A few days after winning his fifth PDC rankings title at Players Championship 10, Josh Rock is having another strong tournament. In a high-class match he settled with Gian van Veen (6-4) by throwing an average of 107.61. Against Andrew Gilding 'Rocky' ran into some problems, but thanks to two 170 finishes he managed to make up ground against 'Goldfinger'. He now takes on Nathan Aspinall, who first defeated Joe Cullen 6-1. Then 'The Asp' delivered a stunning comeback by turning a 5-2 deficit against Gerwyn Price into a 6-5 victory. Recently Aspinall was already successful on the Euro Tour by surprisingly winning the European Darts Trophy in Göttingen last month.
Aspinall like Bunting before him has been in superb form as of late and that one win has catapulted him back into confidence and form.
Nathan Aspinall sealed glory last time out on the European Tour.

Martin Schindler v Peter Wright
A year after winning his first Euro Tour title, Martin Schindler still has a good chance of prolonging his title in Riesa. Moreover, 'The Wall' is still fresh, as he did not need to use much energy leading up to the quarter-finals. He defeated Thomas Lovely 6-2 in the first round, before getting a bye in the second following a cancellation by Rob Cross. At the last sixteen, Schindler easily triumphed 6-0 against Dimitri van den Bergh. In the last eight, he faces Peter Wright. The Scot recorded a difficult 6-5 win over Ritchie Edhouse at the last 32, before convincingly dealing with Dave Chisnall (6-1) in the third round.
Schindler though is a tricky test and potentially the most of all. He is very much the man to beat in Germany and has the reputation as the king of European Tour in Germany for a reason.

TV Guide

The tournament will be broadcast by PDC TV. As is customary with Euro Tour tournaments, the International Darts Open consists of three tournament days. The afternoon sessions start daily at 12 p.m., while the evening sessions start at 6 p.m.
The first round will take place on Friday, where the 16 Pro Tour players will face 16 players who emerged from the various qualifying tournaments. The winners of these matches will face a player from the top-16 of the world rankings in the second round on Saturday. The third round will be played on Sunday afternoon, before the quarterfinals, semifinals and final are completed on Sunday evening.

Distribution of prize money

All participants starting from the first round are guaranteed £1250 in prize money, while the top-16 enter from the second round and receive £2,500 anyway. This amount eventually rises to the grand prize of £30,000 for the winner.
An important detail is that players who are automatically seeded via the Order of Merit and lose their first match will not be awarded prize money on the various rankings. This does apply to qualifiers who are later designated as seeded by the withdrawal of others.
