There will be a new weekly winner of this year's
Premier League Darts as
Michael Smith saw off Gerwyn Price 6-4 to progress for a second week in a row in Nottingham.
Smith reeled off six consecutive legs from 4-0 down to stun Price and progress to the final for the second week in a row as his resurgence continues in this year’s tournament.
That lead was brought up with a 110 checkout for Price but he had missed 16 darts at double as Smith took out 83 on the bull to trail 4-2.
He clawed it back even further going four legs on the spin with a 106 checkout to suddenly make it 4-4. That turnaround was complete as he went into a 5-4 lead before completing the feat.
He will now face his former mentor
Gary Anderson after ‘The Flying Scotsman’ saw off Peter Wright who will now dust himself off ahead of Rotterdam after his return from injury with commentator, Mark Webster confirming that he would be skipping Barnsley this weekend.
For Anderson, it was a 6-1 win with a 101.8 average with 6/9 on the doubles as he went into his first final of this year's campaign.
He took an early lead over Wright going 2-1 and 3-2 up and after four costly missed darts at doubles, Anderson broke to go 5-3 up and gain some sort of a lead on his World Cup teammate.
A 72 checkout saw Anderson finish the job on double 20 in his best performance yet during the weekly roadshow.
