The final day continues to shape up at the European Darts Grand Prix in Sindelfingen with Stephen Bunting, Ritchie Edhouse and Danny Noppert finding their way through in differing scenarios in Sindelfingen.
Bunting survived a 102 average and four 180's thrown at him by Ryan Searle as well as multiple missed match darts. In the deciding leg, Bunting is usually well set for getting through with an astonishing record in last leg deciders on the European Tour and that continued for 'The Bullet'. He produced a 100 checkout using two double 20's in the deciding leg for the ultimate punishment. This after Searle had missed five match darts. He snatched victory also from the jaws of defeat with Bunting coming from 5-3 down to win it 6-5. Superb from The Masters champion.
The same can be said for Ritchie Edhouse who has made a bit of a habit of taking out big names on the European Tour. He continued that with victory over Dirk van Duijvenbode. It was a brutal thrashing with a near 95 average compared to only 85 from the Dutchman. He won it 6-1 with two 180's and in particular shined on his doubles. He pinned 40% (6/15) compared to 1/5 from the Dutchman who has shown glimmers of light after his shoulder problems. But certainly not on this occasion.
While Danny Noppert averaged nearly 104 in taking down Daryl Gurney 6-5. He hit two 180's and survived a doubling masterclass at times from the Northern Irishman who hit 5/9. But he faltered in the decider. Noppert was way back. But Gurney got first shot at the win and missed 120 not getting the treble needed and Noppert hit a 140 to leave it handily placed taking it out for the win as he moves into the final day in Sindelfingen.
