The first round is close to its conclusion with Josh Rock and Jonny Clayton the latest two big names to head out of the
European Championship.
Daryl Gurney has continued his resurgence in the all Northern Irish clash. 'Superchin' saw off Josh Rock 6-2 with a 98 average, three 180's, 75% on the doubles.
'Rocky' struggled on the outer ring with 25% in all despite pinning 105 in one of his only two legs. He will now face Gian van Veen next up.

score center to follow the darts at the European Championship. Jose de Sousa reached the last sixteen at the expense of Jonny Clayton. A special moment in this match was the ninth leg, in which Clayton thought he would make it 5-4 via single 18, single 20 and bullseye.
However, Clayton was on 68 and not 86, so the leg passed him by. De Sousa hit the double 6 to make it 5-4. De Sousa then finished the job with a 17-darter.
