Warrington Wolves' mascot with a big hug for Luke Littler during his walk-on 🐺
Luke Littler still can't believe he made the final of the World Darts Championship at the age of 16. 'The Nuke' continued his sensational participation at Alexandra Palace Tuesday night with a resounding 6-2 win over Rob Cross.
''"It's not even sunk in yet,'' Littler said to Sportsboom. 'I'm just happy to bring them [big averages] up onto the biggest stage in my debut year."
Throughout the PDC World Darts Championship, Littler has already received several messages of support from players from his favorite clubs Warrington Wolves and Manchester United. On Tuesday, players from Warrington Wolves had even come to Ally Pally to cheer 'The Nuke' there and the local mascot was also in attendance. ''It was good to see them. Obviously, I've come to them as well. I'm a Warrington fan. I’ve watched them week in, week out, so it was good to have the two lads down today."
Meanwhile, Littler is thus just one match away from a historic world title. Then he must face top favorite Luke Humphries in the final of the World Darts Championship on Wednesday night. Leading up to that duel, Littler is keeping his feet on the ground. ''I can't even imagine lifting the Sid Waddell Trophy yet. I have one more match to go. I'll have to beat everyone in front of me.''
