The Masters will expand for 2025 with the 32-player ranked event taking place over four days instead of just a weekend and will take place between January 30 - February 2.
It was initially a 16 player event and has now expanded to 24 players three years ago. It was a sell-out in 2024 with Stephen Bunting sealing a popular title. He defeated Michael van Gerwen 11-7 in the final at the Marshall Arena and now 32 players will vie for his crown. A tournament often used to begin the season for the top names, it will now be expanded even further.
It will also count towards the PDC Order of Merit and be the first ranked tournament of the new campaign. Often a tournament used by players to tinker with their equipment and get ready for the start of the ProTour season, it will now be used to test their metal early on with ranking money on the line.
The first round will be held between Thursday January 30 - Friday January 31. The second round then takes place on Saturday February 1. The Quarter-Finals, semi-finals and final will take place on Sunday February 2.
Tickets will go on staggered sale from Monday September 23. An initial priority sale is set to take place for PDCTV annual members followed by a second Priority Windows for fans who sign up with PDC. General sale begins on Wednesday September 25.
"The Masters has really grown in stature over the past decade and this new format will add further importance to what is already a significant event for competing players," said PDC chief executive Matt Porter.
"The new format means that the 2025 season will begin with a bang as 32 players compete for a ranked title at the Marshall Arena, which has become a hugely popular venue for fans."
