The World Darts Championship has been halted for three days for the traditional Christmas break. On Wednesday, Dec. 27, the battle for the world title continues with the third round. Another 32 players have a chance to become world champions on Jan. 3, 2024.
The first match after the resumption at the World Darts Championship is between Scott Williams and Martin Schindler. Later in the afternoon it is the turn of Dave Chisnall and Jeffrey de Graaf, among others, they will meet Gabriel Clemens and Rob Cross, respectively.

16-year-old prodigy Luke Littler opens the evening session. He crosses swords with Matt Campbell, before we get to see the Double Dutch clash between Michael van Gerwen and Richard Veenstra. The evening will be closed by world champion Michael Smith and Madars Razma.
On Thursday, Dec. 28, the day gets underway with a meeting between Stephen Bunting and Florian Hempel. Then Joe Cullen plays against Ryan Searle, before Ross Smith faces Chris Dobey. Gerwyn Price will play Brendan Dolan on Thursday night, while title favorite Luke Humphries will battle Ricardo Pietrezcko. Ricky Evans and Daryl Gurney also play on this evening.
The final four matches from the third round of the World Darts Championship are scheduled for Friday, December 29. First up is Berry van Peer, who faces Damon Heta. A friendly with Krzysztof Ratajski is scheduled for Jonny Clayton, before Raymond van Barneveld takes on Jim Williams.
On Friday night, the last game of the third round will be between Gary Anderson and Boris Krcmar. The same evening, the first two duels of the fourth round will also be played. The fourth round will then be completed on Saturday, Dec. 30.
In the new year, eight more players have a chance to win the world title. The quarter-finals will take place on Monday, January 1, followed by the semifinals on Tuesday, January 2. The grand final is on Wednesday, January 3, and that's when we'll know who gets to stand with the Sid Waddell Trophy in their hands.
