The duel between Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis at the 2013 Grand Slam of Darts is often cited as one of the best darts matches ever.
A 180 score was thrown 32 times, a record at the time. The combined match average was 110.37, also a PDC record at the time. Taylor came up with an average of 109.76, while Lewis recorded an even 110.99.
Despite Lewis' higher average, the win went to Taylor 16-9. The 16-time world champion then defeated Robert Thornton 16-6 in the final.
