In Leicester, tournaments 6 through 10 of the PDC
Challenge Tour were on the schedule last weekend. With five different winners, the depth of the field was once again evident.
The
Challenge Tour weekends remain an excellent barometer for emerging talent and players on the cusp of earning a PDC Tour Card. During events 6 through 10, the standard was again exceptionally high, with impressive averages from multiple players.
Oliver Mitchell on top to conclude weekend
The standout performer was Oliver Mitchell, who leads the list with a phenomenal 110.51 average. The Englishman showed he possesses top-tier scoring power. Behind him is Dutchman Maikel Verberk with a fine 108.51. Fellow countryman
Ron Meulenkamp also made his mark, registering a strong 108.22.
We also see several English players near the top of the rankings. David Evans posted a 105.53 average and stayed well above the 100 mark, as did Daniel Nicholls with 104.61. Jack Aldridge and Callum Francis were evenly matched with identical 104.38 averages.
The depth of quality is underlined by the fact that players such as Aden Kirk, Nathan Potter, and Dutchman Patrick Geeraets all averaged well over 100. It shows just how competitive the Challenge Tour is right now.
With figures like these, it is clear once again that the level on the Challenge Tour is remarkably high. Players who excel here seem only a step away from success on the PDC’s main stage. The upcoming tournaments will show who can maintain this form and firmly put themselves in the shop window.
The PDC Challenge Tour resumes on the weekend of 01/05/2026, 02/05/2026, and 03/05/2026. Then, tournaments 11 through 15 are scheduled in Hildesheim, Germany.
