Van den Bergh 'dreaming' of Grand Slam glory after Clayton win

Dimitri van den Bergh continued his brilliant form as of late with a superb victory over Jonny Clayton to move into the Grand Slam of Darts Quarter-Finals.
Van den Bergh spoke afterwards and admitted he is 'dreaming' of adding this title to his World Matchplay triumph earlier this year.
"So far it's going very well and I'm really proud," said Van den Bergh.
"I feel like I played a terrific game from the start until after the second break - I kept Jonny under pressure and I was phenomenal in parts.
"I felt that here and there I could be a little more focused, but I'm really happy to be in another quarter-final. I'm on a winning streak and I want to keep this going.
"I'm buzzing. I'm really happy - inside I'm having explosions of happiness. I'm dreaming about winning this and I hope I can make my dreams come true again."

- As prize money increases each year and there are now more tournaments then logically breaking the £2 million barrier is going to happen, only thing preventing it is the now deeper strength in depth of the darting field. If you took Taylor’s best two consecutive years and substituted the prize money from now onto the tournaments he won he would have passed the £2 million.Mysstree26-11-2024
