Van den Bergh holds onto top spot in World Series Order of Merit ahead of Price

Dimitri van den Bergh has concluded the regular World Series of Darts season as number one on the World Series Order of Merit just hanging on after the New Zealand Darts Masters.

By reaching the semi-finals of the New Zealand Darts Masters, he sealed top spot with 35 points, after Michael van Gerwen was eliminated in the Quarter-Finals.

The tournament in Hamilton was sealed by Gerwyn Price who beat Van den Bergh in the semi-final and then Jonny Clayton in the final. 'The Iceman' finished in second place in the final ranking with 34 points.

Michael Smith also managed to pass Van Gerwen thanks to his semi-final place and brought his point total to 29 points, one point more than Van Gerwen.
