Dimitri van den Bergh picked up a potentially vital two points as he edged past Nathan Aspinall in an 8-6 win and a battle of the table toppers in the Premier League to begin Night 11.
Speaking afterwards, Van den Bergh was pleased to continue his Premier League brilliance and show what he is capable of.
"I am so happy. I walked upstairs looked over to the screen, I saw the averages and the averages kind of showed what I felt in the game. It was such a strong game, not him or me gave in and after the fourth leg, I never lost my control again," said Van den Bergh post match.
"I'm so proud I'm doing what I'm capable of. I'm just going to keep digging in and I'm going to give 100% every game again but most of all, I'm enjoying the experience and I'm learning a lot."
This Premier League run also saw Van den Bergh claim a maiden PDC title in between and he discussed finally achieving on the ProTour.
"The Super Series win was pretty much unexpected because my semi-final wasn't so great and then I had to play Dirk (van Duijvenbode) the day before, he already won it," he added.
"The last leg I had seven perfect darts, I played brilliant in the first four games in that last day but I never stepped up after that even though I had a big game against Scott (Mitchell).
"Danny (Noppert) unfortunately never showed up and it's not disrespectful, but it was an easy win so I think I wasn't so strong before the final started.
"I always agreed with what people were saying. I had the game but didn't step up but finally I have."
