Van den Bergh's manager Mac Elkin talks about transfer to Target: 'Dimi was going stale, it has freshened him up'

The main man of The Sportsmen Management Company Mac Elkin has recently given some inside information of players at the top of the darts game. His company manages Jose De Sousa, James Wade, Dimitri Van Den Bergh and many other top stars in the darting world.

The Englishmen has recently spoke about some of his players in a recent interview that has been released on 'The Weekly Dartscast'.

Many know that Dimitri van den Bergh had a medical check at the German Darts Open and Mac Elkin puts many peoples worries at ease as he explains how the Belgians getting on now.

"Dimitri is okay. He went back when he went home. He went to the hospital, had another check up, ran a load of tests and they all came back okay."

Elkin also referenced how impressed he is with Van Den Bergh's form as of late. "I'm over the moon. He changed supplier to Target and to get to the final (in Jena) it blew our minds.''

The world No.14 has won back to back World Series titles earlier this year and has now changed his darts supplier but it has worked out better than expected for him.

"Dimi was going stale. Now he's gone to Target it has freshened him up. I'm really excited to see what comes from it.''

Another player that The Sportsmen Management Company manage is Jose de Sousa. His recent spike in form has left his management team impressed as they wasn't fully convinced with the World No.6's form prior to the interview. "I was getting a little bit worried about him. However, he's putting the work in again."

The Portuguese international isn't the only one putting in the work though as Elkin mentions that James Wade is putting more practice than he's ever put in before. Mac Elkin also speaks about 'The Machine' and his chances ahead of the World Championships.

"I'm just hoping that everything comes together at the end of the year and he get's that form back before he was ill. He was playing fantastic and for me he was probably one of the best players in the world at the time."
