Hospital check for Van den Bergh after repeat of German Darts Open health scare: "There will have to be further investigations"

Dimitri van den Bergh suffered another panic attack on Tuesday. 'The Dreammaker' subsequently went to hospital for a check-up, his girlfriend Evi Loyaerts told Nieuwsblad.be.

The Belgian also suffered a panic attack last Sunday during his semi-final at the German Darts Open. Van den Bergh then stated he suffered from an increased heart rate. After a medical time-out, he was still able to start the final, which Van den Bergh did lose 8-6 to Peter Wright.

Examination in hospital revealed nothing. "So there will have to be further investigations. And sleep/rest well and live healthier," Van den Bergh's girlfriend informed.

Next weekend, the Antwerp native is expected in Amsterdam for the World Series of Darts Finals. Van den Bergh is seeded first at that tournament and will face Danny Baggish or Ryan Joyce in the second round.
