"I never ever expected this when I came here on Monday morning," Van den Boogaard admits in his post-match interview, more in shock than in celebration. "It's phenomenal it really is."
"I juat wanted to enjoy the game again and enjoy the stage as well. As the week continued I just felt better and better," he continues. "This is by far the biggest thing I've achieved in my career so far. I won the Six Nations Cup with the Dutch team, but I did this performance is on me and that's why I put it at number one."
Thanks to this weekly title, Van den Boogaard may also compete in Champions Week early next month, where all the weekly winners will compete against each other. "But I don't want to think about that yet, let me celebrate this title first. I also want to thank my family for their support, especially my girlfriend who is always there for me."
