Van den Boogaard qualifies for final week of MODUS Super Series

Patrick van den Boogaard won the eleventh week of play in the MODUS Super Series on Saturday. He thus qualified for the final week, which begins July 31.

A new competition is played each week in the MODUS Super Series. The best six players from the first five days of play met Saturday divided into two pools during the final day of the eleventh week of play. In the thirteenth week of play, the twelve weekly winners will take on each other.

Van den Boogaard lost 4-2 to John Henderson in the group stage, but continued as number two in Group A thanks to his 4-2 victory over Justin Hood. In the other group Wesley Plaisier won his matches against Richard North (4-2) and Jarred Cole (4-1), while Cole managed to win from North.

The two Dutchmen met in the semifinals, with Van den Boogaard winning 4-0 against Plaisier. The other semifinal was a 4-3 victory for Cole, who eliminated Henderson. The final was then won 4-2 by Van den Boogaard, who thus collected the top prize of 5,000 pounds.
