The Premier League Darts will be hosted in Newcastle on Thursday night. For Michael van Gerwen it will be his eighth trip to the city.
It has been more than favourable to Van Gerwen in the past. Five times Mighty Mike has won in Newcastle, once he drew and only one game was lost.
But even more remarkable is the fact that Van Gerwen always averaged at least 103 in all his matches in Newcastle. His lowest was in 2015, when he threw 103.38 average in his match against Adrian Lewis. That was also the only match he has lost in Newcastle.
