Luke Littler won the PDC World Darts Championship for the first time in his career on Friday night. The 17-year-old Englishman was too strong for Michael van Gerwen 7-3 in the final at Alexandra Palace and can now call himself the youngest ever world darts champion.
The final was also enthusiastically watched by members of the St Helens Darts Academy. At this darts academy, run by Karl Holden, Littler was learning the ropes at the time.
The darts academy blew gatherings at a local pub and went completely wild when Littler threw the deciding double to become world champion.
