The 27th edition of the World Matchplay begins on Saturday with seven nine-dart finishes and some of the most memorable ones at that being hit during this tournament.

Phil Taylor was the first to throw a nine-dart finish at the World Matchplay back in 2002. It was also special as it was the first live nine-darter on TV at that time. He managed to hit one more back in 2014.

Raymond van Barneveld is also on this list with his 2010 effort. Joining him are John Part in 2011. Michael van Gerwen and Wes Newton also delivered in 2012 while Gary Anderson was the last in 2018.
