Various UK Open qualifying venues set to close permanently due to effects of Coronavirus

Several Rileys Sports Bars have had to close their doors permanently due to the effects of the Coronavirus, it has been revealed.

The chain of sports bars which are well known in the darting world for hosting UK Open Qualifiers; will have its sites in Grays, Wolverhampton, Worcester and Sheffield close for good.

In Wolverhampton and Sheffield in particular, they are well known venues for the qualifiers gaining lots of entries; but they will not open their doors for next years' qualifiers. Qualifiers have also been held in Grays and Worcester in the past.

It has been said that the COVID-19 pandemic has had 'a far reaching effect' on the business and that it gave them 'great sadness' to make this decision.
